Data Centre Cooling Fluids & Systems

Data Centre Cooling Fluids & Systems

Data centre cooling fluids are crucial for removing significant amounts of thermal energy, in the form of waste heat. Although there is a clear trend towards liquid cooling of CPUs, by far the majority of existing data centres have air cooled data halls, AHUs, CRAHs and cabinets.

Whether a data centre is using direct-to-chip, immersion or traditional air cooled CPUs, it is likely there will be primary cooling loop removing heat from all secondary systems.

Castrol ON and DC Cooling Solutions specialise in the manufacture and support of all types of cooling systems and liquid cooling fluids, as used in exisiting and next generation data centres.

Thermal Fluids and Performance Enhancing Additives

Thermal Fluids and Performance Enhancing Additives available from DC Cooling Solutions are formulated to deliver the following benefits:

  • Durability, with inbuilt resistance to oxidation, thermal degradation and biological contamination.
  • Optimised thermodynamic and hydrodynamic performance for improved PUE characteristics.
  • Long-life corrosion inhibitors, proven to exceed ASTM D8039 and OCP specifications.
  • Synergy with DC Cooling Solutions nanoparticles and other performance additives.
  • Compatibility with all metals, seals and materials commonly used in data centre cooling systems.
  • Enhanced CUE with minimised environmental footprint, low toxicity and biodegradability.
  • Maximum potential for reuse or upcycling at time of data centre decommissioning.
